Entrepreneurship vs. Corporate America: Why you should switch sides

Entrepreneurship is an amazing thing. If you look at the characteristics of an entrepreneur, you will see that they are thoughtful, active, creative, and enjoy making connections. Whether they are personal or communal, an entrepreneur is always looking forward to furthing everyone's agenda.

As for Corporate America, this is the DREAM that we've been told. It is where you live to work and work to live, so that you can receive that pay check every 2 weeks and enjoy your weekends.

Do not get me wrong, there is NOTHING wrong with working in this environment, however, people tend not to believe in themselves by taking that extra step to providing that additional stream of income. Entrepreneurship is not for everyone, but it's for more than you would think.

Here are a couple websites to get you started on that road to release that creative beast in you:

About.com : Entrepreneurs

Love-Locked

Kanye to the... a master of trades. People can hate all they want, but this guy is an entrepreneur, innovator, activist, artist, and lover all mixed up. You may not agree with his attitude or "pr" that you see, but we don't know the guy.

Here's a fan mixed down version of Love Locked-down from the MTV VMA's.

Love Lockdown "Official" Fan Video from Owen Rucker on Vimeo.

I also support Kanye for this heroic stance. I'm thinking a social network for paparazzi. Putting those spineless cowards in the limelight.

What are Wards?

A ward is basically a neighborhood. A "ward system" is a way of electing city council persons neighborhood-by-neighborhood. In a ward system city council people will be elected from each neighborhood and they will live in the neighborhood that they represent. Right now, city council members are not elected by the people in their neighborhoods.
Empowernb.com

I guess that explains em. My good friend Charlie and now associate for EON (Empowering Our Neighborhoods) is running for local office. He's got a good shot except for the "family" currently involved in the city of New Brunswick.

Hub City, PharmCity, or whatever you want to call it is not empowered by the people, but by the small people at top who are real rich. I don't think this is a way the system should be ran. Do you?

Anyhow, take a look at his website and support the cause if you're a local to New Brunswick. Rutgers students can vote too!

He said / She said ....

Now it really doesn't matter. The majority rules right? Well I think I just found the perfect website for relationships. Mine at least... I sound irrational to my girlfriend in most cases, but this website will help clear that up!

I can't wait to use it. OH yeah, I forgot to tell you the name.

Bansky Advertising Co.

Bansky. My favorite modern artist. However, I disagree with this statement he made in recent years...

This is totally true for traditional advertising, but I mean.... cmmonnnnn!!! We now have Social Media. The collaboration tooL! Supporting my previous blogggg, it's got transparency man!

The community can talk and DEMAND what they want.. Like onDeman! duh duh duh! (That was a drum riff for the laugh.)

Anyhow, check out some of Bansky's DOPE work. When I mean dope, I mean heroin cause that stuff is NUTS!!!!!! I'm thinking about making Bansky art shirts. Would he sue me? hmm...... I guess lets find out :)

Transparency is key in 2009!

With social networks like facecrook and the rest of these web 2.0 websites, there is a sudden shift in transparency. I know everyone uses the word, but the state of consciousness hasn't moved yet.

Either people are disregarding the fact and posting their pictures of being wasted drawing penis' on their buds, snapping those self-righteous cell shots in the mirror, or they simply don't opt in.

The price of total personalization is total transparency.

Transparency suggests a more active role, rather than an imposed view. You have to BE transparent. And of course, it is impossible to have total personalization with perfect knowledge.

This being said, nothing has really changed. People are using the Matrix dodging bullets. However, these platforms create a foundation of incentive to be good and produce well.

The subconscious will start kicking in, especially after WE Gen Y's and Millennials start conquering all industries. Our generations want the truth, so transparency is going to be key from the people.

Britney's Back

Deja Vu. I guess I said this like a year ago on my blog. When everyone thought she was dead, she came back alive.

Just like home boy said on Entourage tonight, "
He's only dead, until he comes back alive.
"

It is kinda funny how people suddenly forget about all the hate on this celebrity, then the VMA's all of a sudden values her, giving some sort of street credit now. As for Brittney, keep grindin.

I was thinking of starting an anti-paparazzi. Imagine TMZ for the celebrities. I dunno, I think it would be a hit. I'll let you know how it goes.
